I have difficulty choosing what classes to use for first and second pass. I am currently an undecided-life sciences major, but highly considering the MIMG major. The classes that I would like to take this fall quarter are:

Chem 14C with Hardinger
Life Science 1 with Alfaro/Lloyd-Smith/ Novembre
Physics 6A with Bozovic

What 2 classes should I enroll in for my first pass? My second pass? I know they all fill up pretty fast, but I'm not sure which one(s) fills up the fastest and are in the highest demand. I know there's a good chance that I can enroll in two of these classes, but not the third. So, I'm also trying to find out to see which one of these classes will have random openings due to people dropping/switching their schedules over the summer.

Thanks in advance everyone for your help! :)

What’s next in your major? Meaning for your next classes (assuming mimg), what are the pre-reqs? I would go based on that.

Ie:
LD #1
LD #2
LD #3

UD #1 (requires 2 and 3)

So then I would take Lower Div #2 and 3, save #3 for second pass. If I don’t get in (and the prof is unwilling to bend) then try taking Upper Div #1.

Go with the flow… (:

Oops haha that example only works for subsequent quarters. But you get what i mean…just take what’s most urgent, check out the lineup ^.~

Sometimes being stubborn err persistent helps…but shhh you didn’t hear it from me…

Ah ok, I think I know what you mean. Thanks! I ended up signing up for Chem 14C and Physics 6A for first pass and saved LS1 for second pass. I got into LS2 during my second pass last quarter, so hopefully that’ll be the same this time. My only concern now is just figuring out how to deal with the new “Course 23L” in the winter since I already took LS2 with the lab component…
