I'm taking the following classes next quarter:
CS 32
CS 35L
Math 31B
Physics 1A

I'm stuck on deciding which to sign up for in my first pass. I was thinking maybe CS 35L, CS 32 (because I want Nachenberg), and Math 31B (because I can't do the 2 cs's + physics in the first pass), then leaving Physics till my second pass. Due to the way my schedule works out, I'm locked into only one physics lecture. Am I going to get screwed by leaving Phys 1A until my second pass?

Hijacking this thread, the classes I want to take next quarter are English Composition 3, Chemistry 20B, Chemistry 20L and History 13B. The first two are absolutely necessary (I want to finish writing I ASAP) while the second two are not as important. If I’m using the first two on first pass and last two on second pass, is it possible for me to get chemistry 20L on second pass? If not, I wanted to replace it with another science class, but physics 6A or life science 2 seems to fill up fast during first pass also.

Receive help from someone else on this forum :P

Chem lab will most likely fill up first pass, maybe before you even get to it. Throughout your college experience, always remember that labs fill up the fastest so if you want one, you better get it first pass.
English Comp 3 also fills up quite quickly. You’ll need to get that first pass as well, especially if it is one of your priorities. Not sure about 6A or LS2, but you might be able to squeeze into one your 2nd pass. Physics 6A is a core class, so there should be plenty of spots.
