I heard second hand that Vassar is, for the first time in about 25-30 years or so, planning to increase its class size. If memory serves me correctly (and that's a BIG "if") they increased the student body from 2100 to 2400 in the late 70's or maybe early 80's. Does anyone know when they are planning to increase enrollment, and by how much?

I haven't heard anything about this (I'm a current student), but I'd be surprised if enrollment increased based on the capacity of the school as it currently stands.

Well, Davison is closed for this up-coming year, so even if they are trying to build some new upperclassman housing, it would be pretty difficult for Vassar to take on extra students.

Here's some information about the housing issue:

Yeah, I would say that the class size is definitely NOT about to increase, considering the upcoming housing crunch. I do believe they've promised not to shrink (although that is, again, second-hand info -- love the grapevine!), but I wouldn't bet on growth in any case.

just curious, where did you here that jym626?
