class visit recommendations

Any recommendations?
My friends and I are planning to visit UVA next week, and we want to visit a class while we're there...but we don't know which class to choose. As far as interests, we're more science oriented, but we're open to visiting really any class.

Since you're intended science majors, I would visit some of the entry level science classes (bio, chem, or physics...decide what you want to visit based on your intended majors) just to get a taste of what first year and into second year will feel like. Then, maybe visit some upper-200-levels or 300-levels to see the rest of your years.
If you have time, drop in on english/history/etc classes, but visiting one won't really do much good because all of these types of classes are very different and arn't necessarily offered every year (besides the intro level ones).
Be careful of what classes you visit. I think the Office of Admissions has a list of "open" classes, and try to stick with those or email a professor ahead of time. You will be noticed if you just drop in on a 30-person class. I'm sure most professors would let you sit in on a class, and the class names/times/professors/prof email are all on the COD (course offering directory...google UVA COD).
Good luck

you can drop in without being noticed in intro classes with 100 kids or so. Check the COD as shoebox said and choose what you wish. I will say that your initial view of college courses will be skewed by the professor you first see so just remember that not all the professors will be as good or as bad as the ones you visit.
