When we do the college tour our S is hoping to visit a class. We were told that all that was necessary was for him to show up 10 min early and ask permission of the professor (which is great) I was wondering if anyone could share a visit experience or recommend a class.

Thanks

I would recommend either a class that he is interested in (I think you mentioned chemistry in the past?) or one of the freshman CSP courses. I would stay away from anything extremely out of his area of study (just so he won't sit there for an hour completely confused) or too high in course number (once again, easy to get lost). When I visited I was a soccer recruit, so the coach set up my classes for me, but I went to an Intro to Performance class (I'm a theater major) and I was actually able to participate in one of the small improv scenes. It was a really great experience and it had a large impact on my decision.
