I have a problem, and I don't really know what to do, so I'd love some opinions.

I'm in the summer program, and I have four classes (13 units). I just found out that I have to take Writing 1, but I looked on GOLD and the available classes are closed already. Is there another way for me to get into the class? Should I just take the class in fall quarter or will that be a problem?

Second, two of my classes coincide timing-wise on one day. One class is M-R from 4-5:45pm and the other is only on Tuesdays from 5-6pm. Should I just go to the second class on Tuesdays and skip the first class altogether? Or attend the first class and leave early?

I'm really confused, so any advice is greatly appreciated!!

For the Writing class, you can always crash the class on the first day (easier to successfully crash classes during the summer than in the fall.)

As for the class-timing issue: choose one class or the other. Really.

lol, you’re gonna have super fun in FSSP. (I did it last year. Some of my best memories were in FSSP.)

Just show up to the first class, and ask the professor if there are any spaces left to be able to crash the class. Better yet, email the professor about it before class starts, and see if he/she will put you on a waitlist (if the professor has any.)

Yep, that’s what everybody tells me and it just makes me even more excited. :D

I just found this waiting list app on GOLD; should I just use that?

Thank you for the help! :)

@keltix
by what you said, do you mean use the waiting list app on GOLD?

And if I am able to get into a writing class, I’m gonna drop the conflicting class since I can only take 13 units. I just mentioned that situation too in case there wasn’t a way for me to get a writing class.

Entering as Transfer (Pre-Psych) Need Psych 7 to get it major it is full. I have downloaded all the requirements for the Major and the only classes open that can be taken without completing Psych 7 is Psy102 wih Gable and Psych 108 with Revlin. What I don’t seem to be able to find is what upper division classes (non-major) are required. Can anyone send me a link? I have emailed school but no reply. Also what can you tell me about Gable and Revlin. How hard is it to add a class? Orientation is on Aug 8th would like to attend more prepared.
