Hi, I am a junior at a public school in SoCal and i had some questions about my schedule for next year. I am very unsure as to my major; dentistry, biomed, and business are all on the table. So far I have taken pretty rigorous courses, with AP Euro, AP Bio, precalc honors, sophomore year. This year I am taking AP lang, AP spanish 4, AP calc ab, AP physics B, and AP US history.

I am looking at top schools including UCLA and Berkeley as well as UChicago, Northwestern, NYU, Columbia, UPenn, Duke, John Hopkins (probably not because only medical and I would get screwed if i changed my mind) and Rutgers.

My proposed schedule right now is AP Govt, AP Lit, AP Physics C, AP Chem, AP Stats, and AP Psych.

My questions revolve around math and spanish. I want to be done with Spanish because I'm not too crazy about the subject, although I heard that it's moving to a curriculum more focused on culture and history. I am good at that type of thing, so I could potentially do well in the class. As I have stated, I really do not want to take it so I can focus more on other subjects. However, I have heard that many schools (especially UChicago) like students with advanced knowledge in many fields so I'm not sure if it would hurt me. As far as math, I understand it well and got a 780 math on the SAT 1, but I have gotten Bs in some classes (only Bs 10-12). Should I basically make a statement that I am not weak in math by taking Calc BC? or should i stick with stats because doing so would be redundant?

To sum it up, what is more valuable for the schools I am applying to: all the core sciences with AP bio, physics B and C, and chem plus psych, continuing spanish, or improving my math record?

I know this is a long post but I would really appreciate any help, our counselors are completely overloaded at this time.
