Has anyone taken classes at WashU in high school? There's a program that allows you to take evening classes while you are still in high school. I was wondering if anyone could give their opinions of these classes, and whether or not they were worth it.

bethany, I think the evening class program is quite different from the regular program. If you are still trying to choose between a community college class vs a Wash U evening class, and the cost of the latter is a lot more, then my guess is the community college option is the better route.

Selective colleges are not likely–in my opinion–to give a lot more weight to the evening class than to a cc class when taken during high school.

Here’s the link for what I was talking about: [High School College Credit Program | University College | Arts & Sciences](http://ucollege.wustl.edu/programs/special-programs/high-school-college-credit-program)

It confuses me a bit, and I’m leaning towards just taking one at a community college and one through WashU. It has less to do with the money, and more to do with the value of the program, if that makes sense. My parents (since I have a job but make almost nothing) are perfectly content to foot the bill for the WashU classes, as long as it’s worth it.

By the way, thanks for being so helpful =)

And answering my questions even though I’m being insanely indecisive and slightly moronic.

That is from the link you provided above. How many credit hours are the classes you are considering? Introductory math and foreign language courses are generally 4-6 credits per course; social science and English courses are often 3 credits per course, although economics may be as many as 5. Some science classes, if they include a lab, are 5 credits. In other words, it seems you will be paying over $1500 per class, possibly more.

That is a lot.
