classes to try to get to in HS for Comp. Engineering?

Alright, i am a soft more in High school and i am Vietnamese. I make Mostly all A's with the exception of one class(because of the teacher-she is old and mean and DOES NOT like students lol).

Well i want to go to a good college for computer engineering but i am facing 2 problems because of the school(NOT ME).

The school i go to is very small and behind other schools. For instance i am FINALLY taking geometry when i should have took that class a like 1-2 years ago. Also my school does not offer me any AP classes till next year when im a Jr. I am trying to take the hardest classes and all the AP classes i possibly can but don't offer me none this year and wont even let me take geom./algebra II first and second semester

What classes should i try to reach before i graduate HS? Because i really dont think i will get to pre calc/calculus before i graduate and i think i am smart and all but my school is kind of "holding me back".

Other schools are probably taking the same classes as me but in there freshmen/8th grade year. This is really pathetic and i might and probably will have too take summer classes to catch me up and get me ready for computer engineering.

Taking geometry as a sophomore is average and doesn’t make you behind.
Just take the most rigorous schedule your school offers. You will not be directly compared to people who went to more challenging schools.

Self-teaching some programming can’t hurt. I recommend python, personally: an easy syntax, and it’s actually used in the real world (as opposed to Visual BASIC).
Other than that, take difficult classes when you can, particularly in math/science. If you have mostly As at this point, I wouldn’t worry about college.

Those who take geometry in their freshman and 8th grade year are not the norm. Take the hardest schedule you can, and just work hard. You’ll be amazed at what people can do when they work hard on things and don’t let the results of others deter them.
