So far, I have not taken any science-related classes except high school biology since I haven't taken Chemistry yet. At our school, you have to take Chem before you take any science-related AP course. So far all of the AP classes I have or will be taking are AP Human Geography (Got a 4, I got nervous and didn't finish the Multiple Choice), AP Art History, AP US History, and AP English Language and Composition. I can only take AP science classes in senior year.

I really want to get into the medical field and major in something like Neuroscience. I'm applying to UCs. Maybe I can make it up by taking an SAT Subject Test for Chem???
If I put "Neuroscience" as my major with THAT class schedule, will they let me in? :( Also, does taking algebra 2 junior year look bad when you want to major in something like Neuroscience or Biology?

Minimum high school courses to prepare for a biology major or pre-med course work in college would be:

Math through precalculus. Calculus would be a bonus.

High school level courses in all of biology, chemistry, and physics. Honors or AP level would be a bonus.

The rest of a well rounded college-prep curriculum including English, history and social studies, art and music, foreign language. Honors or AP level would be a bonus.
