Classes

Hi, I'm a freshman right now.

I was wondering if any of you other Pitt students have take an English class that meets 3 times a semester on Saturdays. Does the course load seem extra heavy since you barely have class time? Also, have any of you take Peter Gillipsie?

And if you can recommend any easy teachers for the Lit requirement, please do. I'm not lazy, I'm just a premed student and I don't want to add any more unnecessarily difficult courses to my schedule in addition to the tough science classes that I have already.

Thanks!

If you are in honors, take anything Dr. Arthur Erbe teaches. Very easy class and he is one of the nicest professors I have met. :)

Hi,

I’m a peer advisor at Pitt. As far as Lit classes go, I’d suggest looking into classes like Lectures in Literature (ENGLIT 0505) or Intro to Shakespeare (ENGLIT 0580). Either one of these would be manageable with your schedule.

Check out courses.as.pitt.edu to get the full list of courses that fulfill the Literature requirement.

Hope this helps!
