anyone who goes to gw...

should i take 4 or 5 classes first sem. frosh year? i really really dont want to be too stressed out and i want to do well especially cause my parents are paying 50grand for me to go.

im thinking about taking econ, univ. writing, intro to IA, and stats... should i take spanish as well? or maybe some random history/humanities class?

and do you think taking stats and econ at the same time will be too much?
(i've never taken econ, but ive already taken stats)

ps im in the elliot school.

thank youuuu any comments would be greatly appreciated!

econ at gw is really tough from what i hear. and you're taking stats. You better keep the courses at 4 if you ask me.

I plan on taking UW, econ, french, and two 3-credit religion/humanities/etc classes that fulfill the GCRs first semester. I asked the same question as you a few days ago, so check a few threads down. I think whoever responded said that 5 was okay and that you can always drop a class within the first few weeks.

I kind of had to work it out just right to be able to fit those 5 classes because of the 17 credit max though, so make sure the credits add up correctly. French, Intro to IA, UW, and a few other of those intro classes are 4 credits, so i can't take all of them in one semester (i think).

Really I'm just trying to fit 5 classes in so that I can graduate early and save some $$, especially since APs/satIIs already gave me a good amount of credits. Hope I could help!

ggwu2010, how many credits are you going in with?

thank you everyone!

i think im just guna go with four. uw, intro to ia, econ and either spanish or stats.

which do you think i should go for? (stats or spanish)... this past year (senior year) i took spanish 5 and ap stats. so both are decently fresh in my memory.

thanks again!

Personally, I would get that language requirement out of the way. The high levels meet MWF and Friday classes get to be a pain.
