Classical Singer magazine Convention/Competition

<p>I am wondering if going on to the CS convention/comp. is something D should do.....</p>

<p>Didn't go last year as I thought it was 'overkill' for a HS sophomore to do the travel & compete thing...we were just happy she was recognized (although NYC would have been much more convenient than LA). We figured it she made the finals again, we would go for her junior year.</p>

<p>But now that we are closing in on it, I am wondering before I spend the $$, take the time and make the arrangements, etc. if this is something we should really do.</p>

<p>I wanted some opinions as to whether it is worth the money & effort.</p>

<p>My D went as a junior and it was excellent on so many levels. The auditions are the same format as she will face in her real college auditions and the feedback forms are absolute gold. My D also found the master classes and workshops to be quite valuable as was the college fair. If your girl wants to major in voice, I’d encourage you to go if you can.</p>
