cliche/overused?

is it okay to talk about my experiences at Girls State and Girls Nation for "talk about an experience that impacted you" on the common app? I linked it to leadership, confidence, and plans for the future but I'm afraid that this is cliche/boring/braggy. I don't have a great sob story or interesting life to write about so I'm kinda stuck. thanks!

I’d say it sounds a little cliche. I just went with topic 6: a personal essay in the topic of your choice and talked about a hobby. You don’t really need to have mind-blowingly impressive life story; just express who you are.

There are no cliche topics. There are only cliche treatments of topics.
