Close encounters of the hornetguy kind

So, I saw today:
redhead
bluemer
potterfan
falcons '11
07PETKO

First on the list was redhead. I went to church with the Basics this morning. Her flight was the first one up there, so I walked past her (she couldn’t see me under her service cap!) then I got her attention inside the chapel area. She broke bearing like none other! She yelled “Hi Tyler!!” and took two running steps to hug me, then caught herself quick. O crap, I shouldn’t use firstname and can’t hug. lol. I was amused! I “allowed” her to sit next to me in church, where bluemer also came up and sat by us. So, I had a good talk with them. redhead has many good stories, since she it “Basic Princess” now due to some mail I sent her. And Bluemer is feeling the mind games of the cadre, twill change soon! potterfan walked by as church ended and we said hi.

Then, as I’m walking to leave and go back to the dorms outside, suddenly a tall basic turns towards me, snaps to attention and goes…“Cadet H****, pardon me please sir, basic cadet S**** reports…” I cut him off lol. Relax! Very differenct reaction from redhead as falcons '11 gave me the full cadre greet! Someone is on top of their game! It was very strange for me, that’s for sure. Along with the 3 foot bubble around me that no basic would cross! first kind cadet they’ve seen! So, I talked to falcons for a bit, he’s doing very well (as well as jwags), some of his classmates got closer to listen in. Who is this guy?! lol

Man is it wierd being on the other side! wow! However, i am now at my sponsor’s house with 07PETKO, and he is also doing very well. Seems like everyone is enjoying their short time off.

That’s all for now! I’m sure parent’s are enjoying the sounds of their kids! :)

I think I just might go to chapel next Sunday for my own "close encounters." ;)

I was off-base at Woodmen Valley Chapel this time, so I wasn't there to see everyone...but next time...

Ok, good idea. Let's all make fun of redhead. :) I'll make sure to give a 21 gun salute next time, hornet, sir. I just sat next to you so you wouldn't be a loner. ha

I'm just glad you acted normal. I was really caught off guard by falcons. Glad a couple people didn't panic and run from my shadow!

Hi Hornet - glad you got to see and talk to Falcons. I finally got to talk to him, he was last in line for the phone at the host home. He was glad to see you but not sure how to respond to you. He always wants to "do it right". He really enjoyed talking to you. Son said the other guys that came up were glad to have a chance to talk to you too. Thanks for being "a nice guy."
PM me if you have anything interesting to tell me about him.<g></g>
