Thanks, D. Not surprising, with paying a coach and stuff. Swim team is not cheap, either. Of course, I don’t know what Greek dues are, but I’ll bet they’re up there, too.

My daughter has played club volleyball for the last 6 years.( in jr high and high school) It is very expensive. $2000 fees and probably another $1000 in travel expenses. I doubt it would cost that much at Marquette. Because it is a school sponsored club, you don’t have the cost of gym rental.
I am hoping the expense is minimal compared to what we are paying now.

No typo. $2000.00 is the cost to participate in men’s club lacrosse at Marquette. I’m not sure of the details, but we did also look into the University of Michigan club lacrosse program. Here are the highlights:
Remember, these costs are for teams that do not offer scholarships and cannot offer any “tip” in admissions. Gotta love your sport.

Check the details for the specific sport. It looked to me like ultimate is covered by Musg fees. No mention of big bucks. Not a high buck sport however.

And my son has always wanted to try curling.

According to the [Marquette Club Sports Handbook](<a href=“Recreational Sports // Marquette University”>Recreational Sports // Marquette University) all club sports are to maintain a web site with contact info. A little googling might reveal the participation costs associated with the different clubs. As beastman points out, some sports just inherently have more costs that others, particularly in equipment, coaches and travel.

I think beastman is right – I’m sure the fees vary wildly depending on the sport.
