I wanted to join a lot of clubs my freshman year...
But i havent been able to join much..
The only thing i joined was an engineering assosiation.
Is it possible to join more next semester or would i have to wait until next year?
And what are good to join?
I want something beneficial and i want to do something involving community service.

Mist clubs recruit at the beginning of every semester. A lot you can just join whenever.

IMO you should join your engineering’s association if you know what you want to do. I am volunteeeing tomorrow for ASME. But not because I am a good person, I just know it will help me get a board position which will help me on my resume

There are obviously MANY clubs at Michigan, but I have never heard of a club that ONLY recruits at the beginning of the year. They have their mass meeting at the beginning of the year which is for recruitment, yes, but all of the ones I checked into would still take newcomers year round-- they just weren’t actively recruiting anymore. OP, I would check out the maize pages and find the contact info for the clubs you’re interested in and ask if they are open to new members. They’ll give you the scoop and won’t mind-- I ran a club myself and we get those kinds of emails ALL the time, we’re happy to get them. :)
