Hi guys, I'm new here and browsing quickly through some of your posts in this specific section, "What are my chances?", I already have a bit of an inferiority complex. I'm really trying to gauge where I stand and what schools I should be aiming for, but my credentials aren't so hot. Here goes: I attend the Bronx High School of Science, which for those of you outside NY requires you to take a test to get accepted into and is ranked as the second-best public HS in NY city. The main reason I went there was that it would help me get into a more selective college. My my culmulative average is around 89, making my gpa 3.56, but my freshman year was an adjustment period for me and I had an avg of 84, but a 93 my soph yr and a 90 jr yr(went down b/c i was taking my 1st 2 APs). I've taken 2 AP's last year, World History and Spanish Language, but for some reason I haven't received my scores. Took Honors Spanish soph yr. I'll be taking the SAT II for Biology and US History this October. My soph PSAT score was 1380, jr year(w/ the new format) it was 1950 (630 critical reading, 700 math, 620 writing skills) and my SAT score was 1860 (640 critical reading, 630 math, 590 essay {i bombed it, didn't finish it}). I was in the art club for one year, and last year was in the foreign film club and red cross. This year i'll be taking college classes to get credit after school 3 hrs and 20 mins a week for the fall term. My old english teacher who is also a college mentor said that would look good for colleges. I'll be taking 2 more APs this year and will start guitar lessons. I worked in a hospital this past summer(although it was mostly clerical stuff). My gpa is in the middle of the pack in my school, but then again, most of kids in my school would be top 10% in a regular school. My mother is from the Philippines and my father is Jewish. I'd like to stay on the East Coast. If any more details are needed I'll answer promptly.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it.
