no neophyte you're not

Domirican-
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to edit these essays or what, but here is one thought:

In the second paragraph, back up your claim that birth control has allowed women to be seen as intellectuals with MORE evidence. Relate the whole "now women are allowed to have a career" part more to birth control. And I would add another sentence linking them. Also, I would take out the "I know for certain".

anyone wnana share their cmc essay?

wanna send to moi?

I'd be willing to send you mine, but I don't know if it's at all good. What's your email?

My admissions rep told me that a normal length was 3-4 pages. That most likely was double spaced, but they still want it to be long. He said that they get 10 page essays somethings, so basically, anything you write won't be too long.

My english teacher read my 4-page essay and told me to cut a page out of it cuz it was too long, so i would definetely try to keep it as short as possible. A shorter essay is usually tighter and better organized, so I'm trying not to let it get too long. I think 2-3 pages is a great length

i think they left it so vague for a reason- like there isn't a right way. i wrote about someone with more of a large scale effect but i know people write about family members or teachers too- though i'm not exactly sure how they approach that. Mine was a page single spaced but it should probably just be however long it needs to be to get your points across without sounding repetitive.

Mine is 2 and a half pages double spaced, and I think it's a good length. You can use enough information, show your analytical skills enough, but there's very little room to go off on a tangent or something. Brevity and tightness are always the biggest flaws in my writing, and I'm learning to discipline myself... lol

yea. um, i say go with whatever you can write the most about -- and i wanted to keep it short because i had a really long esssay that went on these weird tangents, either way .. they liked it so. i've meet some people that wrote about their grandma or drama teacher or someone famous, its up to you.

i got a small private boarding school so we don't have that many jsa kids and it just started this year so ... i donno. i had to miss the fall and winter conference for swim meets.

omg how long are these essays meant to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1000 words?

as long as you want so that you get your point across. i would stop trying to put a number on it

thanks so much dude!

Would it be bad if you didn't mention leadership? It doesn't seem easy to write about that unless you've known the person for a long time....How did some of you incorporate leadership into your essay?

i wrote about someone that was a leader, that showed leadership qualities and whatnot
