C'mon Middkids...any of you CC'ers alive out there???

Either I'm the only really bored one...or the Class of 2009 only accepted one student...or all of you have gone to hibernate for the summer! Whatever it is...snap out of it! C'mon lets liven up the Midd CC thread count!

ok ok. Class of 09. Prospective International studies major. From NYC.

Good to hear from you sambouc!

Hey Sambouc...it says that you're online. What's up?!

hey guys...its amazing how no one comes on here anymore..including me..heh...i use to be here like 24/7...im also from nyc sambouc...wa wa....what part?....

Hellooooooo...anyone out there?

Sambouc...you there?

Hello, Sambouc here, from Manhattan. Who is going to the MOO trip?

I am...I think my first choice was the intermediate level hiking trip...the one where you trek 4-7 miles or something like that. What about you?

Oh and what first year seminar did you sign up for?

I got picked for the easiest hiking!!!
FYS choice World of the Italian Renaissance Artist.

How is Burma??? So far away!!! How did you learn about Midd.?

Burma IS damn far away! It's a pretty cool country...used to be peaceful for us foreigners/diplomats. But it's hell for the locals! We have a really repressive army regime that censors everything and goes around arresting dissidents. So people are getting sick and are fighting back. If you go to my xanga site I've written about a series of bomb blasts that we had recently...it was really scary!
What else...well we only got internet 3 years ago, foreign newspapers are banned by the censors and local newspapers are propaganda trash, cable tv is very exclusive and expensive, cellphones are a rarity. Sounds like a pre-historic place doesnt it? Well it kinda is!
I have a very close friend at Middlebury (now a soph)...so that's one of the reasons I applied. I cant wait to meet hime...havent seen him for 1 year. I have to admit that Midd was only my 8th choice school (behind Stanford, harvard, yale, dartmouth, williams...where I got rejected...and Amherst and duke...where I got waitlisted, but removed my name from the waitlist) ...but the more I learn about the college the happier I am about enrolling. The only really worrying thing is the weather...I am used to temps above 35C (100F) and enjoy that kind of weather. Kinda worried that I might turn into a popsicle!
So Sambouc...fess up...what name do you go by? Also...did you choose that MOO or did they assign it to you? I havent heard from Midd about which MOO I've been assigned...I thought they wouldnt tell us till July.

im going on the MOO trip..... asked for hardest possible hiking thing..... am from India btw .....

Hey Zonked...nice to meet a fellow Indian! Are you Indian Indian or are you Indian-American? What I mean is that will you be there at intl orientation?
btw...has Midd already told you if you're in MOO or not?

MOO trip info came by mail so be patient if you are in Burma.

Yeah I guess so...did the mail tell you that you had been placed into MOO already?

So...where/when do we have our CCers party??

yeah "Indian Indian" from Bombay........ and no i havent got my MOO details as of yet

Really...I always wanted to visit Bombay...but I never could. I have lots of friends who live there...one just got picked to play soccer for Mahindra & Mahindra, two others are at Xaviers College. I'm a Delhiite myself...although I've only lived for 7 years in India.
So...I guess you'll be there at intl orientation...what's your name?
Sept 1 is D-Day..."Phir Milenge"

rohan........... i got my MOO stuff today
