CMU Math and CS Double Major

Hi everyone,
I’m currently planning to attend Carnegie Mellon University this fall majoring in mathematical sciences with a concentration in discrete mathematics and logic. I’m also hoping to double major in computer science as well, since that math and cs go well together. How difficult it is to get an additional major in CS at CMU?

There is a lot of information on their website:

https://csd.cmu.edu/academics/undergraduate/overview#minorexplore

I can tell you based on my child’s experience there - Math/DML to a CS minor is relatively straightforward; you just have to watch how the double-counting is handled. Additional major is a lot more difficult, in my understanding. Just a lot more courses and stricter double-counting rules.

All that said (and I’m sure to get some differing opinions here), the Math/DML majors are generally up for, and getting, the same types of internships and jobs.
