Doesn’t CNR give Bio BS ?

Also I am much into the “humanities” aspect of nutritional science, and toxicology rather than the “scientific” aspect of the fields. I love reading, learning, discussing things that involves nutrition, toxins, human body, immune response and all that rather than the chem/physics/labs which i kinda struggle in.

To be completely honest, the best chance you have of making a lot of money out of undergrad is to major in engineering (especially EECS) or business. The former requires a lot of “chem/physics/labs” which you say you kind of struggle in, and the latter you’ve already ruled out because “going to college for business is near pointless.” Not saying I necessarily disagree with you, but although you can get into business without majoring in it, you’ll need to go to business school which you don’t seem to want to do.

So basically you need to choose between wanting to make a lot of money and taking your lumps along the way, or learning about what truly interests you and having to delay that gravy train or perhaps settle for a bit less. It’s up to you.

By the way, I’m doing simultaneous degrees in L&S and CNR and I highly recommend it. Easy if you figure out which majors you want to do pretty early on (first or second semester) rather than later like me. I’ll still graduate in eight semesters though. Two classes maximum can be used to fulfill requirements for both majors. A lot of breadth courses overlap.

Of course, my goal isn’t to make a lot of money so keep that in mind.

@Woolybugger,

how time consuming is double majoring like that?

Also, I was never told this,

There are no Mac/PC requirements right?

When do we apply for housing?

When do we apply for classes?

Is the Freshmen Summer session a huge advantage?

Out of curiosity for people who know,

If one does the metabolic biology track in the Nutri Sci division of CNR, do they get a degree
in Metabolic Biology or Nutritional Science or something else?

One thing that’s getting to me is how so many people look at majors provided from CNR to be “crap” (im sorry). Initially, I didn’t feel this way, but the more I hear it the more I question my decision…
