Berkeley CNR

Is it true that Berkeleys CNR is slightly easier to get into?

from what I’ve heard it is slightly less competitive

Slightly easier to get into, than what? Just curious, as it’s not the easiest path at Cal by any stretch. D just transferred in from being undeclared L&S (decided on this path after being accepted - just need to get her pre-reqs done to be able to transfer over). CNR is a much smaller college than L&S (2,300 undergrads/grads, vs. 22,000+) and has a top-rated environmental sciences program. Lots of killer lower division reqs, though (Bio 1A/1B, Chem/Organic Chem, etc.). A couple of friends have jumped over to CNR from L&S - better advising is one of the reasons, from what I gather.

It does not look like they release admission stats by division, so outsiders would not be able to find out from publicly available information whether L&S and CNR differ in admission selectivity and, if they do, which one is more selective.
