I'm applying as a transfer student to the College of Natural Science for Computer Science, but I will only have Pre-calculus completed by the Fall. Will they allow me to take Calculus I at UT or am I going to be rejected because of this?

I doubt they will reject you for this, but you do have to meet the Calculus Readiness Requirement as stated in this link: [Schools & Majors | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/freshmen/admission/majors)

Meaning that you must have met one of the listed requirements before the deadline to be considered for your desired major. Hope that helps.

When it comes to thing like class requirements, this will not affect your admission chances. If you are accepted, they will just advise you to fulfill the class by the time you are admitted over the summer.

That being said, a schedule that has AP Calculus will probably be more impressive than someone else in Precalc, but things like extracurriculars, test scores and AP exams can compensate for something small like that.

Basically, don’t sweat it. There is nothing you can really do about it from what I can tell, so just chill and send in your transfer app.

When I talked to the admissions office in San Antonio I was told that they would look over your application to that specific school if you didn’t have the calculus credit. I don’t know how true that is though. The best thing to do is to call UT’s admission office and ask them.
