I am majoring in chemical engineering, and I am considering to apply for Co-Op this fall.
Here is my question.
I know that Co-op is ALWAYS part time, and you work at least 3 alternating semesters. For example, you work in fall, study in spring, work in summer, study in fall, work in spring.
However, I know that CPT full time should stay under 364 days otherwise I lose OPT eligibility. I also know that CPT(unfortunately) also includes days I don’t work.
If I get Co-op offer, and apply for CPT, will CPT duration also include the semesters I study instead of working? Then it will well go over 364 days, so I won’t be able to do OPT.
