<p>I just went to the engineering career fair today, and I have an interview tomorrow. This is my first interview for a co-op so I was just wondering what I can expect to be asked. I have researched the company so I am able to answer any questions pertaining to the company itself. Just wondering what I can do to better prepare. Thanks</p>
<p>Come up with a standard answer to the following questions so that you don’t have to think about it when they ask you some variation of it:</p>
<ul>
<li><p>Give me an example of a time you displayed leadership or took on a leadership role?</p></li>
<li><p>Give me an example of a time where you worked on a team?</p></li>
<li><p>What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment? Why?</p></li>
<li><p>Give an example of a time where you went above and beyond for a project?</p></li>
<li><p>Give me an example of a time where you had to chose between what you were told to do and what you knew was the right thing to do?</p></li>
</ul>
<p>Some variation of these questions is likely to be asked. Depending on the job, they may ask some cognitive questions… but it’s not really worth preparing for those because it could be anything.</p>
<p>As always, think of an answer that covers the full circle. </p>
<p>1.) State the situation (set up the story)
2.) State you plans, course of action, and the execution
3.) State the results</p>
<p>In addition to what purduefrank said:</p>

<li>Know your resume–if they say “Tell me about X or Y” have a concise but strong answer.</li>
</ol>
<p>Other questions</p>
<ol>
<li>What is your greatest weakness/strength ?</li>
<li>When was a time you had to deal with a non-cooperative team mate and what did you do?</li>
<li>When was a time that you encountered a setback/failure and what did you do overcome it?</li>
<li>Why do you want to work for X company </li>
<li>What are your short term/long term career goals (I have seen this occasionally)</li>
</ol>
<p>Also, make sure you have good questions to ask the interviewer as well. Typical ones could be
- Why did you choose X company?
- How is the work life/office culture in X company?
- What are the typical roles/responsibilities of X position?</p>
