I need some advice about co-op! Currently I am in the 4 year co-op program but I am contemplating about switching to the 5 yr co-op. People are saying that it's better because of the amount of experience you can get, which is a given. I'm planning on going to med-school, so will doing 5 yr co-op improve my chances and enhance my application more than the 4 year? I'm kinda hesitant on doing the 5 yr because it'll take 9 years to get out of school! Any recommendations?

If you are planning on going to med-school the 4 year program might be more your speed. This is because the track to medical school is a difficult one. While the experience from co-op positions will help people in fields that requires little to no graduate school work someone interested in a medical position may want to spend more time interning at hospitals or something of that sort.

Best of luck
