Co-Op...will it help me get into medical school?

I recently got accepted into Northeastern University--it has the number one ranked co-op program in the US. I was wondering how enrolling in the co-op program-- possibly at some of the Boston hospitals or biotech companies..etc--how will that assist me into getting into medical school? Will it even matter that I did co-op and does it look impressive on medical school applications?

Pretty much a no. A co-op job is not going to boost your GPA or MCAT scores, which is really what matters, regardless of whether or not you had a job cleaning test tubes in a lab under the guise of a co-op.

thanks for keeping it real....

All that matters is your numbers and showing you have the kind of commitment that it will take to be a doctor. You don't even have to be a nice person if you're smart enough to be a surgeon.
