I want to transfer to UTs school of Mechanical Engineering.

-I have my degree in Automotive service/technology (4.0) from Houston. (roughly 60 credits)

-Currently have a 3.9gpa with a large handful of general academics, including Calculus 1.
(As in every class except English, because my professor was irrational)
-Moved to Austin TX in hopes of getting into UT, currently taking classes at ACC.
-Deans list
-Phi Theta Kappa
-Have NOT yet taken physics, but will take this spring at the same time I file my application for next fall2013.

I have seriously healthy social skills, and I am much more competent than current UT students, but I am afraid admissions judges will discriminate against me having an associates degree in a vocational field. I do now, and have always wanted to study Mechanical Engineering.

What are my chances of transfer admission?
