CoE workload

An electrical engineering major at Georgia Institute of Technology posted this:

"I am a Georgia Tech grad... 1-2 hours per night per assignment per day to work on it. For example, if given 2 assignments Monday due Wednesday and 2 Tuesday due Thursday I'd put 2-4, 4-8, 2-4 on Monday-Wednesday nights, respectively. Often I was closer to the smaller number in the previously mention duration ranges.
I graduated with a 3.6 GPA. For me, time spent interpreting the solution was more valuable than attempting to do the homework for hours on end. However, I do believe you should attempt at least every TYPE of problem to enhance 'problem solving' skills."

Can anyone clarify this for UMich? Is it any similar? I'm particularly interested in computer science and industrial engineering.

It really depends on what class you take and how many credits in that semester. It can be overwhelming while many students still have plenty of time for other things.

I usually marathoned my homework but you could just do a few hours every day and get it done that way too.
