yeaa..this worries me a little. from the sound of it i think douglas sounds like the best to but the coed bathrooms seriously worries me. anyone who knows anything about that aspect of dorm-life can you please respond. i'm not so sure how comfortable with that so please help.

My brother lived in Douglas Hall his first year at McGill with a coed bathroom. Overall he liked his experience in the dorm, although no one seems to be thrilled about sharing a bathroom with a bunch of other people. He said he would see girls in the bathroom with nothing but towels covering them all the time... When you think about it, it really doesn't sound like such a bad thing! LoL.

But if that's not your cup of tea remember that you don't necessarily have to get put into such a situation. If you have a good loterry number you can get to be in the New Rez, a newly converted Hotel building where everyone has their own bathrooms! Also, McGill has several other housing arrangements that give freshman their own bathroom. You don't even need to have such a great lottery number if you don't mind having to take the Subway to get to your classes everyday.

dont worry about it too much. i have been to the rez of U of T and Western, and they all have coed bathrooms. Acutallly its very fun there is a guy/gal washing face beside you while brushing your teeth. lol

the coed bathrooms in doug did take me a little time to get used to but its not a problem at all. I find that you spend a lot of time talking to people in the bathrooms but obviously it can get uncomfortable especially when u find out about people's washroom habits but after a while as you will be sharing with 5-6 other people who u will definately know very well after a few months, you will not have a problem.
