Cognitive Science Major

I was a bio major, coerced into doing so by my parents doing the typical pre-med thing until I was doing badly from lack of motivation and realized, "I don't even like this, why am I doing it?" I came across this major:

Cognitive Science, B.S.
UCLA General Catalog 2009-2010 Psychology Undergraduate Study

It seems really interesting and appears to incorporate some stats and comp sci. Not sure what my parents would think about it but that's not the point here. Is anyone here a Cog Sci major? Also, does it seem like it can lead to career opportunities?

btw, by coerced, I mean “forced.”

i’m also really interested in this major…i’ve gotten some info on it, but it was all just stuff i could find on google…if someone who’s actually majoring in this or has some personal experience with cog sci could share any info that’d be cooool

It also doesn’t help that Psych 85 is only offered once a year, only has 50 spots, and is only for declared majors/premajors.

Here’s hoping we aren’t wasting our time!

Bump for anyone else…
