waz the difference between the 2? how come CS requires 70 units for the major while psych only requires 40 units? which is better for becoming a psychologist/psychiatrist? If i want to choose 1 to go with premed, which is better?

Usually Cognitive Psych is a bit more scientific, while PSB is a bit more on the applied side. For example, someone in Cog Psych would study more about memory and the brain and things like that, while someone in PSB would study more about people and why they interact with others the way they do. PSB folks tend to be more social worker/school psychologist types of people, while Cog Psych people get more involved with research.

An easier (and incredibly oversimplified) way to look at it is that Cognitive Psych is in between being a Neurobiologist and a School Psychologist or a Marriage Counselor.

how come the major of Psychology and SOcial behavior says "students pursuing a major in the Social Ecology may not use upper division course work for both school, major, or minor requirements. No ovelap is permitted"
does that mean i can't overlap any class between premed and psych

Is that from the catalogue?

yea, it was from last year's catalogue
