COLA Transfer Admission

I am trying to transfer into McCombs Business School but I have listed economics as my second choice. UT requires calculus 1 and 2, not business calculus 1 and 2, which is what I have taken. If I have a 3.79 GPA, do I still have a good shot at getting admitted into COLA if I get denied into McCombs?

From my understanding, COLA likes 3.2+ and loves 3.5+. You should ok.

oh wait they don’t accept business calc? looks like i’m wasting 3 hours this semester…guess i’m gonna have to do an internal transfer.

Depending on what college you go to, they WILL accept Business Calc. I know there are 2-3 community colleges that provide business calc that is acceptable to UT.

No, I know McCombs Business School accepts business calculus 1 and 2. I’m saying what if I don’t get into McCombs. My second choice major is economics and UT’s economics department requires Calculus 1 and 2, not business calculus 1 and 2. So will taking bus calculus hurt my chances of getting into UT’s economics major if I dont get into McCombs? Sorry, I didn’t really explain it well the first time

It isn’t listed as a indicator course, so you should be fine.

COLA only cares about GPA, so keep up a 3.5 and you are in. And I thought you had a 3.7, not a 3.78. Don’t give up on McCombs!
