Does Colby send any acceptance letters earlier than the end of March?

@ColbyCollegeComm After reading through all your posts, I found that you are really a Colby representative. I don’t know if you know this but I think you need to know:

Not sure if this message was sent to everyone or just internationals

My son got it too, and we’re domestic- but far enough from Maine that some people don’t know we are part of the US… :)

just a week left

I got the email, and I’m from Florida!

There is no specific time stated on the email just the date 23rd March

Hi,

Since RD date is just round the corner, I am quite anxious.

I would like to know one thing, I am an international who needs considerable financial aid ( almost a full ride ), does that mean I have virtually no chance? I have a SAT score of 2150 ( M 700, CR 730, W 720 ) and 3.9-4.00 GPA.

^You do stand a very good chance. Just hope for the best!!

7 days :<<<

I am international student, got deferred from ED2 waiting for the RD

We are in the same boat, I got 4.0 GPA 2150 on SAT (710 CR, 720 M, 720 W) and need full financial aid. I got deferred so I think we do stand a chance

I am international student and I am applying for substantial financial aid, got defered from ED2 as well.

I rank 5% in my class and got 2240 (CR 750, M 800) on my SAT, good EC, essays and recommendations. I don’t think I have a great chance of getting into Colby since I already got deferred (which practically means I am not that good to receive both an offer and an almost full-ride fa). But I am not so worried now since I just got admitted, with 50,000 FA/yr, to Franklin & Marshall yesterday!!! XD

I’m an international (Canadian) with a 3.85 UW, 11 APs, and a 2310 SAT (740 M, 770 CR, 800 W). I thought I had a great chance at Colby but seeing all these internationals getting deffered makes me a little worried. I need ~65-80% aid…

Internationals are usually deferred in ED because they need to see the whole applicant pool before allocating budgets. Aid for internationals is limited for only a few because most applicants need close to full-rides and on top of that, Colby pledges to meet full need without loans, so it’s better for them to see all applicants before deciding. You guys sound great, and you do have a chance, so don’t worry about having been deferred. It’s common for internationals, even the very top ones, like many of you are. Good luck!

Hey guys how many of you submitted SAT Subject scores too, along with the SAT?? I am an int’l and I have reported only my Subject scores and TOEFL.

I submitted my subject scores along with the SAT. I have 730 on Math 2 and 660 on physics

I submitted both as well - 750 math 1, 740 us history, 700 chem
