@Bluecholeric we are in the same boat buddy but I haven’t taken the TOEFL. But test score are not the only thing colleges are looking for so never underestimate yourself just because you have low scores you know there is a asian in Standford in class of 2014 who was accepted with 1740 SAT and 92 in TOEFL. So lets hope for the best anything is possible. :)

All right more international students! I was worried that Colby wouldn’t be diverse enough for me but according to an article from Colby, international applicants are up 10 percent! Good luck!

my sister got her acceptance (she’s an international student)…did anyone else hear from colby

@papipupi did your sister applied early and can you post her stats as well please

she got 600 on her toefl and had a 4.0 gpa (don’t really know much else). does anyone know how generous colby-sawyer is with international need based aid?

oh and she applied RD

@papipupi but RD decisions are bound to come out by April how come she received her decision early??? Did she take any test like SAT or ACT?

I know… I was rather surprised she got her acceptance so early (she did get the Founders Scholarship though so may be that’s why she heard so early…simply speculating) She didn’t take any ACT/SAT (I don’t think you have to if you’re an international applicant)

yes you don’t have to take the ACT. how much financial aid did she got?

the Founders scholarship is worth $17,000 per year. She hasn’t yet received her need-based aid package yet

well colby is bound to give substantial aid to internationals .Well Congratulations to your sister and I hope I get early decision too.

thank you and good luck!!!

papipupi, you mentioned Colby-Sawyer College and the Founders Scholarship - I think you are on the wrong forum. This is for Colby College in Maine!

Colby (ME) doesn’t give out merit

Yes Colby doesn’t give out a Founders Scholarship though Colby Sawyer award this scholarship on merit.
