I believe the interview is mainly to answer questions, and is not a notable indicator of acceptance. The Pres. Scholar Email (I got it too!), however, is.

As far as I’m concerned, after releasing the decisions.
Our family will only release financial information to the college my son intends on committing to. You don’t not want to open your finances up to everyone.

Hi! If you’re applying for financial aid, then you have to complete the CSS profile through Collegeboard and FAFSA and submit financial documents there. The financial documents will be used to determine how much aid you qualify for. As for me personally, Colby hasn’t asked for any additional documents than the ones that the CSS Profile asked for.

I am new to this and don’t understand the process- we did the CSS which required us to submit tax docs. Are you saying they will ask for additional docs? If so, which ones? Bank accounts?
I’m not sure what Xanthous1 is referring to. If you didn’t submit FAFSA and CSS by the 1/15 deadline you have no guarantee that they will consider you for aid at all. There typically are no additional documents required if you submitted everything for FAFSA & CSS, unless they audit filing or require clarification of an issue. I understand someone not wanting to share financial info unless accepted, but you jeopardize receiving any aid at all when you do that.

Bates has already released its decision. Bowdoin will release its decision this friday… so colby should be out soon:)
True! Colby usually submits decisions on Fridays from what I heard, so maybe we’ll hear back tomorrow with Bowdoin!
