someone said their financial aid comes out today, but I haven’t heard anything about FA
so it’s not going to be today then?? i wish they’d just tell us!!

Seems like it’s not going to be today. Some rumors are swirling about the release date being the 22nd due to the sheer quantity of apps this year.

So no Colby tonight… Disappointing but we shall hear from them soon! I would expect (or at least hope) that they release decisions this week sometime.

Last year was Friday, 3/20 so 3/15 did seem a bit unlikely, especially when most colleges seem to be releasing decisions later this year due to Covid.

3/20 would be my best guess. Perhaps later given the record amount of apps, maybe their decision will be pushed back even further (though relative to other “elite” colleges/universities, their bump wasn’t as huge: 13%). For some reason my intuition is telling me 3/17, but I have no idea why.

The date remains on or before April 1st.
I had emailed the uni a while back and they said this. Clearly not a fixed date but it shouldnt be this early too ig. Unless there are some changes.
Last year Colby announced on social media that decisions would be released that same day. I believe the Facebook post was made around 1pm on Friday, March 20. Decisions were released in portals at 5pm that day. So, definitely keep an eye on social media - and try to be patient! Having gone through the process with my daughter last year, I know that is easier said than done!!

Colby College Call/Interview Request
Did anyone get an email from admission counselor about a conversation? I got one about 5th March that asked if I can talk about my interest in Colby through a call and asked my phone number.
Does it mean something? bc Colby’s site says that they do not offer any interviews and I couldn’t find any similar case whether on Reddit or CollegeConfidential.
P.S. Previously I got an email about Presidential Scholars Program
