Yes it sure does! Good luck tomorrow everyone. This school is definitely at the top of the list for my DD, so I’m really hoping for good news!!
Y’all come to my funeral tomorrow
@Milo321 it is going to be fine. 30 years ago, I applied to 24 schools, but, only ONE gave me the financial aid that made it affordable. And that was the lowest ranked school I applied to. I was devastated, went there as I had no other choice. I did great there, has had a successful career, great kids that are now going through the college process. Things will work out.
Yeah! One day left
OMG i cant wait
any speculation about what time it will come out?
In years past it’s usually been 3pm. My cousin got his acceptance there at that time last year (although he eventually chose Bates instead). Colby is my top choice though regardless of how much he now likes to claim it sucks as a Batesie so fingers crossed I’ll get accepted…
thanks! what made you like colby better than bates? (i applied to both and have not visited either one)
T minus 20 hours!!!
Both schools were amazing! Colby rose to the top of my list for a few reasons: one, their track team is better. Two, they have grants for low income students from Maine (which I am). And being from Maine, Colby had the most Maine-feeling campus, so I felt the most comfortable there out of the three.
can you describe the maine-feeling? im from texas lol!
@washdcgorl it’s super chill and relaxed!! i’m from ct and i love going to maine bc everyone is just so much nicer and less competitive there lol
Hey everyone, all the best for decisions!
I heard Colby interviews are selective, does anyone have any idea?
Am intl, btw
@justHere2001 I just came across a post on reddit with applicants saying they weren’t offered interviews, which they interpreted it as a bad sign. I thought everyone was offered an interview, but now I’m not so sure. Son was offered one but there was no alumni in our area to do it.
Forgot to add to the last post…Best of luck to everyone today!
T-9 hours, hope Colby would not make me disappointed again!
As far as interviews go, I just scheduled one and went, so I don’t think they’re selective with that. And for the Maine feeling? Maine is a state that’s overall filled with kind, caring people who care about each other and are nice to everyone and are down to earth. Bates has that feeling sometimes (Bowdoin does not have it AT ALL, I loved Bowdoin, but you could feel the presence of the money and prestige when you walk on campus), but at Colby I constantly found that those who surrounded me were humble and caring.
And anyway, good luck to everyone today!
i didnt get offered an interview or receive the presidential email… its not looking good for me
