Cold Intolerance

I've been kinda hesitant to apply to any schools up north because I tend to not tolerate cold weather well. I'm assuming it's because of my low blood pressure(?). My hands always feel like icicles. I genuinely can't concentrate when the temperature is below 65-ish degrees. I realized this was a problem when I visited a university for a day and was in a lecture hall that's heating was not very effective. Unfortunately, many universities recognized for engineering (what I intend to major in) are in the north. Has anyone with low tolerance to cold weather attended a school with cold temperates and been able to learn at/enjoy the college?

My school is relatively warm/sunny all year, but some of the classrooms are freezing. I just bring a sweater with me everywhere, that’s usually enough. You’ll probably have to choose between dressing warm all the time or going somewhere less north.

Dress for the cold. I get cold easily, as well. Wear sweaters. Layer.

Were you dressed appropriately for the cold? I’ve found that many people who don’t live in areas that get really cold tend not to dress very weather appropriate. If you find yourself getting cold easily, then wear warmer clothes.

If it helps you, my sister grew up in Hawaii and then went to school in Washington DC. Not extremely north, but a drastic change from Hawaii. And she was always cold in Hawaii, so you can imagine how easily she gets cold. You adjust.
