People who attend or have been to Carlton - how cold is it there, and is it hard to get used to if for example you're from the west coast?

Check out "For those going or thinking of going " below for a discussion of this issue.

Hi Vassily-07 from Woodinville - does the 07 mean you are a junior? There are 76 kids from WA currently surviving at Carleton. My D is a happy soph there, having grown up within miles of Overlake Hospital where she was born. Acclimating to the climate isn't really a topic that the kids at Carleton dwell on. My D doesn't even wear half the clothes we bought in anticipation of the cold. Weatherwise, she plays broomball on the outdoor ice rinks in January and cross country skiis in the arb. The campus walkways are kept clear and dry. It's quite sunny there, even when cold, a huge contrast to the NW gray. It's 70+ degrees today and was 84 degrees yesterday. If you are a junior, you might consider visiting during your Feb break next year (check to see if they are still doing interviews at that late date).

Yeah im a junior, I think i'll be applying to Carleton and if I get accepted I will definitely visit next year. Thanx
