I didn’t get a valentine email…should I be concerned?
@sunnyanz No, I doubt that was anything more than a general correspondence, but check what email they have on file for you just to make sure it is correct.
March 17th, 1:13pm EST
That’s when they’re releasing decisions? @fluffysimba
@neuroscience27 Look at this link: http://www.colgate.edu/admission-financial-aid/apply
It says:
Decision Release
Admission decisions for First-Year regular decision applicants will be released through the applicant portal on Saturday, March 17 at 1:13 p.m.
Any idea why 1:13? Is there some significance to that time?
No idea but y’all should have gotten an email from them like JUST now!
@Momma2018 I just researched and it seems like they release at 13:13 because of this: https://www.colgate.edu/about/colgates-origins
Thanks @fluffysimba! I knew there had to be good reason.
Did everyone receive this email? I hope that it is a sign that you got accepted haha but it probably isn’t. fingers crossed
It says it was sent to all regular decision applicants.
Nothing here.
Acceptances have always been mailed in the past. And some people didn’t get the email today. Uh oh.
Some people didn’t get the email? Seems strange…
Got the email, says all RD candidates to “test your login” and decisions out on Saturday at 1:13pm
How many people didn’t get the email?
Since the mail only says test your login, I’m sure the other mails must be on their way-seems like a formality only
S got the email at 11:47 a.m. 3/12. We had written Colgate off as a “no”, due to the fact that we were unable to supply the amount of teacher recommendation letters required. One of his letters was from his Honors Band Director, whom he’s had a relationship with since junior high, and they said they would not accept this one as they consider it “non-academic” (his high school has a nationally ranked music program, so we thought it would be a good letter), and our school has strict deadlines on requests for teacher recommendations. Unfortunately, we did not know Colgate requires 2 teacher recommendations until it was too late for him to request a 2nd :(. It was very heartbreaking, but we are keeping our fingers crossed just slightly still.
Does anyone think there is a correlation between what time some people get (or those who do not get) the emails or am I just overthinking this?
In the past acceptances were mailed and rejections were emailed, so I don’t have a good feeling about receiving this email. Especially since some people didn’t get one ( post #31). Maybe I’m just overthinking too.
