I know that there have been other threads on this but I would prefer an up-to-date opinion/information. I've been accepted to both institutions through HEOP. So basically, money is not an issue. I just don't know how to choose. My counslor recommends Colgate because "I will receive more support academically and and on a community scale." But I also know that Cornell is one of the best university in the nation and it being an Ivy League doesn't hurt. However, I'm not sure if I can survive the rigor of Cornell CAS classes.

Your counselor knows you better than I do, so I’m guessing there’s a reason he/she is recommending Colgate. Even you admit you might not be able to survive the rigor of Cornell. Have you visited both? That might help you see where you would be most comfortable, but if the main reason you want to commit to Cornell is because it is an Ivy, then please consider Colgate. Good Luck!
