<p>It depends what you mean by harder to get into. Many more people have heard of and apply to BC, but both their applicant pool and matriculated pool are of lower academic quality than the other two. JHU is more self-selecting kind of in the mold of UChicago, so many years it will have a higher acceptance rate than Colgate (or even BC), but higher SAT avg too. I know my brother got into JHU and only a Feb admission to Colgate. In general, Colgate's SAT is higher than BC and its acceptance rate is lower, but certainly one-off cases of results could turn out the other way. I'd be willing to bet that there are a lot more people who are accepted at BC, waitlisted at Colgate than the other way around.</p>
