Collection of SAT/ACT Calculator Programs

I wanted to make a thread to collect all the programs for TI calculators that may help students in the Math sections of the SAT, SAT II and ACT.

POST HERE!

I really don’t think you need any programs other than the existing functions of a calculator… It’s never a good idea to rely too much on your calculator. On the SAT, I only used a calculator to verify my mental math, because most of the problems can be solved by hand. Don’t remember what I did for the ACT. Point is, you should never rely on your calculator for these tests.

Dictionary app-You need to archive most of it in order to use it and you have to unarchive it once you want to use it. Use it ONLY during the math section AFTER you’re done with the section. Don’t blame it on me if you get caught.
[The Ultimate Dictionary - ticalc.org](The Ultimate Dictionary - ticalc.org)

Triangle Solver-Super useful for SAT Math 2. There’s guaranteed to be at least 3-5 questions involving triangles and trig. Just put in 2 angles and an length or 2 lengths and an angle. It solves ambiguous triangles.
[Atrigga - ticalc.org](Atrigga - ticalc.org)

General Usage Math 2- This does basically everything on the Math 2 test. Don’t rely on it because you won’t have time. Just be familiar with it and use it efficently.

To be honest with you on the SAT Math, you don’t need any programs. You already know all the material and you just have to apply it. No amount of programs will help you.

I don’t think you’re allowed the calculator on the science exams, but I know there are some programs for the AP tests. I’ve only taken one practice ACT, but if I remember correctly, it’s basically just testing your knowledge and you don’t need programs.

I’ve gotten 800 on both the regular Math section and the Math 2 so I have some experience.

You won’t need fancy calculator programs for Math or Math II. Given a triangle with two known sides and the angle between them, it’s not hard to find the area or perimeter. I scored 800 on Math and Math II without the use of calculator programs.

Honestly, I wouldn’t object to banning calculator use on the math sections.
