Go Gators and all the best that Florida offers!

congrats andi! I don't monitor this thread and I would not have known of andison's first acceptance had an "illegal" thread not been posted! So I will keep an eye on this thread for future good news.

Mollie...that's an incredible accomplishment and I can just imagine the relief and excitement rolled into one and the intensity of feelings....cry those tears of joy...you deserve it after working toward this goal. There really is nothing like that moment of opening that letter!
Susan

Mollie,
I always enjoy your posts and insights into all that is MIT. Congratulations on this wonderful acceptance!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. :)

I am still a little bit in shock... especially since I have all these other interviews to attend this spring! But Harvard has a lot going for it, not least that it's a fantastic program... and I'd get to stay in Boston.

Fireflyscout,

Congrats on Southwestern acceptance!

S2 just got the good news from Earlham!! Woo Hoo!

Hooray to secondsonofthree! Earlham is a wonderful college!

I got into Harvard's biomedical sciences PhD program! >>

Molliebot, Wonderful!!! Congrats!

And, congrats to Momofthree's Son, Mezzomom's Daughter, and FireflyScout's Daughter on their acceptances today!!! I must admit to a twinge of sadness upon hearing of the Earlham acceptances...For so long, I thought my daughter would be there next fall. But, I am so very very happy that two kids I "know" and love have been accepted there!

Congratulations to Mollie, mezzomom's d, fireflyscout's d !!

Momofthree you must be elated for S#2 Yay for him!!!!!

Thank you to such kind friends! It is a lovely day!

congrats to dcmom3- you've got some winning odds there!!!!

I haven't kept up with all the terrific acceptances and the list is incredibly long for this point in the year...absolutely wonderful. Each kid here has accomplished great things and I'm sure with interesting stories and journeys that got them there. Sorry to not have congratulated each one of you individually.

I'd like to give congrats to each and not single one out...but I just really wanted to tell Katwkittens....who has posted on CC for a long time and has a slew of successful kittens, um, I mean kids....but I JUST noticed about your fourth child, the one applying this year....I'm in awe of what he has accomplished! His acceptance list is very impressive and he must be one amazing boy! I always admired the job you've done with your kids....your big brood....single mom....and all you have written about and your own involvement and encouragement as a mother. You should be very proud of what each of your kid's has accomplished. This latest one....all I can say is WOW! I had no idea until I just read his list of acceptances. Quite outstanding achievements. He is bound to do great things, I bet. Any idea of where he is leaning? Congratulations to him for reaching his goals.

Susan

This thread (and the list of acceptances) have become my first CC stop every time I'm on. It's wonderful to see everyone's good news and a delight to let my daughter know of the kind words she has received. Congratulations to all the very accomplished, hard-working students...and to their parents for surviving this crazy process!

Son just received first acceptance yesterday (out of 12 schools applied to).
Accepted to Trinity University in San Antonio with Presidential Scholarship
(34,000/4 years). We were very surprised as he applied regular decision and
was told he would hear in mid-March. Congratulations to everyone on all of the good news!

Thank you Susan. He has worked hard and has been a wonderful child to be around. He still does have the ability to make me crazy, as do his other brothers, but I will really miss him in the fall, or summer if he decides on one of the academies. He is keeping quiet about his preferences, still waiting for the RD round and for "finances". He has managed to get himself in the paper and the tv so there have been many instances lately I have found myself blubbering like a big ol' baby.

Again thank you for your kind words. There will only be one kitten left, a rising junior. I caught myself singing that commercial jingle the other day, "if they could just stay little til their Carters wear out." On my last birthday the kiddos pointed out I have been a mommy much longer than I had not been, and what will I do when the last one leaves.....

Kat

Cali,
Congratulations to your son! Trinity is a wonderful school -- my children's high school has sent several kids there over the past few years, including the son of the head of college counseling, and they all seem very pleased with their experiences. May this be just the start of your son's good news!

Thanks Carolyn - My son hopes to play baseball in college and Trinity has a great program. I think I know what school your daughter attends (my niece also attends the same school, and my nephew just graduated) and several baseball players from what I think is your school play at Trinity. It is a great deal all around.

Oh, kat, I can sooooooooooooooooo relate. Even though my youngest son will just be turning 8 next month sigh. Winters are hard on us...five out of six of my kids have winter birthdays, so I deal with all of these growing up/one-year-closer-to-leaving the house feelings in huge waves. My middle daughter just turned 15 today, as a matter of fact, and my second turned 17 on NYE. And my birthday is this coming Saturday....sigh. I don't think I want anymore of them, thank you! lol

Anyway, {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}} I'm already dreading being where you are, and I'm not even close yet...... love, ~berurah
