Hey, thanks. Applying as a homeschooler, it was a lot of work, but well worth the effort. I can't wait for college to start.

Katharos -
congrats on U of C - my son is a first year there and he loves it. It will be quite a change from homeschool and a grand adventure.

Ryan -
you've got some great choices already - best wishes for even more options come spring!

My oldest son called yesterday to tell me he heard from his first two law schools --accepted at UCLA and NYU. He was very happy to start off with good news!

Wonderful news, Nwestmom!

except for the reminder that I might be sweating out this process again some day for grad/professional school ;)

ohio_mom,

Thank you. I live on the U. of C. campus and am on the Quads quite a bit, so perhaps I have seen your son! The U. of C. is a great school and the school I have always wanted to attend.

Hello,
I am a new member. I discovered this site about three weeks ago. My daughter has applied to nine colleges. I wish I had found this site two years ago!
Everyone is so supportive of each other. It's wonderful!

I'm so excited!

I woke up this morning to an email in my inbox from my potential advisor at Wisconsin - Madison informing me I've been accepted to the geology PhD program!

It was my first choice and the first I've heard anything definite from...I visit on the weekend of March 3rd...

:D :D :D

weaverintl - I, too, discovered it after the apps were in, but you will see by my post count that that hasn't stopped me from taking advantage. There will be much help (and fun) here as your D chooses among the colleges, buys her twin XL sheets and more...

ophilite - :D :D :D back at ya..... First choice! What could be better! Great Saturday morning. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

My daughter just got into Rochester Institute of Technology. Three down and three to go.

Congratulations! Your daughter has some wonderful choices!
