College Acceptances: celebrate here!

No----I can't get back on the fin aid page but it I think it was a University Scholarship. She applied for the MLK scholarship and was hoping to receive that one. The BU page is working only intermittently and we did not print out the page.

kinshasa- Do you have a child at BU?

Andi,

Congrats on Vassar and Carnegie Mellon! Just saw them on the list!!

And Curmudgeon, way to GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

kinshasa- just got on the page- it was the "Boston University Grant" for $28,000 and $1000 "other" grant and about $3000 in loans for a total of 33,000.

DD got into University of San Diego today (big white envelope) and found out she's in at BU tonight online.

sluggbugg - thanks so much for noticing !! I appreciate that. And thank you, curm ! On this happy and sad day.

Congratulations, everyone! The acceptances and choices our kids have is amazing. It feels like Christmas every time I open up one of these master list threads!

Ann N - congratulations to your D. How long did she have to wait to log on? They should have a special scholarship for the person who has to wait the longest. My D took a shower while she was waiting. LOL

Wow, momnipotent - that is amazing news! Big congratulations to your daughter, and good luck with the decision-making.

Thanks, andi - Hamilton is a terrific school and DS would be very happy to go there. Congratulations to you and andison - he has had an incredible year!

Thanks, Andi- you know your post was our education/inspiration/framework for "the list"!
I'm SO happy for your incredibly talented son for all of his fabulous acceptances!!!!

momnipotent - terrific news. You must be thrilled with all the results. THAT to Georgetown. Love your other schools. Yay!

Momnipotent: my favorite screen name along with FundingFather...thanks for sharing your happy news with us! Wowsers..two almost full rides. Few students have that achievement. Good luck making choices and visiting on Accepted Student Days.

momnipotent- Big congrats to you and D.

I love your opening statement and approach to all of this . I really hope that other families follow your lead; instead of dwelling on where a student did not get accepted, being happy about the places where they did get accepted because in the end it does always work out.

Such great news, not only are you looking at your situation as the glass being more than hlaf full, it is straight up overflowing with good news and money to back it up. All the best to your D as she has some truly great choices in front of her.

momnipotent~

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to your most fabulous and deserving daughter on all of her college app. successes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What wonderful choices she is faced with now! This is the fun part...enjoy every minute! And be sure to tell us when you know which college will be lucky enough to gain her as a freshman next year!

~berurah

Momnipotent, yes, my S is a freshman at BU. He has the University Scholarship. It sounds like your D wants to major in international relations. American is probably the best choice due to its location. Have you visited the schools? My S loves BU and Boston. It is an amazing city for college students. He is a political science major and decided he was more interested in U.S. politics than international relations.

momnipotent - oh you of the stellar screen name... I still remember back when you first posted about your D's search. What a wonderful outcome. I am staying tuned for the final decision. Congratulations.

Congratulations!!! things have worked out for the BEST!

Wow, congratulations to your daughter momnipotent, so I'm assuming she is most likely to end up at Boston? lol no more Bucks.. aww... lol well she did a terrific job and you sound like a great mother so congratualtions ot both of you guys!
