<p>completely eradicate AIDS in Africa, end world hunger, find a cure for cancer, be a virtuoso violinist and pianist while also getting perfect grades and test scores, become a ny times bestseller by age 16, party and get drunk and sleep around on the weekends while still staying on top of your studies, speak ten million unique languages and use that ability to change the world, be a homeless, poor, desolate URM of some sort and yet still maintain an amazing academic performance....etc. the list goes on and on.</p>

<p>I know someone with history of involvement in environmental issues, including speaking as an expert at environmental meetings, who was instrumental in passing a law at the state level regulating pollution. (I am being deliberately obtuse so as to not reveal the person's identity.) The person (who also had "the whole package": gpa, rank, 34 ACT, 2 varsity sports, regional youth symphony, independent study, and on) was admitted ED to a top-tier university.</p>
