Yes-I posted about the admit rates for UCD to make the point that admit rates for OOS, in particular, but also Intl, are way higher than admit rates for CA residents. And since CA residents are more likely to enroll, maybe the UCs should actually be a little more even handed in their admissions process. They were called out for this several years ago, made a little adjustment (as in, admitting a higher %age of CA residents), but clearly have fallen back into their old habits. We must have another budget problem that can be solved by bringing in full pay OOS/Intl students.
Dear spayurpets, Rice finally released information about this year’s admissions numbers:
http://news.rice.edu/2017/08/07/class-of-2021-moves-to-campus-aug-13/
@spayurpets Colgate’s stats… http://www.colgate.edu/admission-financial-aid/first-year-class-profile
Rice has 1049 students enrolling this year for class of 2021 as opposed to 981 last year. The admission rate was 16 percent but the yield must be up.
Stanford yield was 82% this year. http://admission.stanford.edu/apply/selection/profile.html
For the rest of HYPSM, the 2021 yields are:
Harvard: 84%
MIT: 76%
Yale:71%
Princeton: 67%
Wow. Those percentages look really low
Those yields are actually elevated by historical standards (I believe in part because this group of schools provides some of the most generous fin aid, and attending one of them can be cheaper than the state flagship). Bear in mind, too, that there are many cross-admits, and when admitted students turn one of these schools down, it’s often because they’ve chosen one of the others.
Any information on Lafayette??
Still waiting on data from these LACs:

New info for Rice. Yield 36.6 percent up 1.3 percent this year resulting in housing shortages and fewer transfer admits.

Any news on Northwestern?
Northwestern ED ~963 out of 3736 (~25.7%)
Northwestern RD ~2408 out of 33,519 (7.2%)
Has anyone seen acceptance rates split out for ED1 vs. ED2 at colleges where ED2 is offered?
I’m curious if there is a difference.
@odannyboySF
I meant the yield rate, but thanks haha.
DS17 is at UPenn - told last night at reception that for SEAS (Engineering) - acceptance rate was 4%. YIKES! Biggest class ever and 186 girls - perhaps around 45%
@CA1543 Was that the RD rate or the overall? yikes indeed…
Davidson had 715 ED applicants and 297 ED enrolled???
@Penn95 They did say - impression was overall but hard to imagine. Must be a great group of students!
